Fishing
Boyne Tannum Hook Up - Annual Fishing Competition held over the Queens
Birthday long weekend each year. (Book
well in advance if you require accommodation)
It's a great event & features prizes & cash in excess of $60,000
in a variety of
categories for both seniors & juniors. There is an excellent still
water boat launching
facility & ample parking for trailers. Boyne Island & Tannum Sands
offers a gateway
to the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. There is river, creek & beach
fishing.
Beach & River
Tannum Beach is patrolled by the Queensland Surf Life Saving
Association.
The Boyne River separates Tannum Sands from Boyne Island & runs inland
to meet
Awoonga Dam, there's plenty of quite spots to wet a line, water ski or
launch your boat.

just cruising on board of one of the great charter boats that run out of
the beautiful Marina at the Port of Gladstone.

We have a Golf Club & Lawn Bowls loads of Water Sports, Tennis
Courts & a
Squash Centre. There is over 17 km's of walking & cycle ways to explore
linking
to an excellent Skate Park that will keep the kids busy for hours while
